Benin : the FCBE officially renounces its status as an opposition party

The FCBE has formalized its withdrawal from the opposition to join the presidential majority of Romuald Wadagni, whose inauguration is scheduled for May 24, 2026. The decision marks a turning point for the former party close to Thomas Boni Yayi, weakened by the absence of elected representatives since 2019.
