Côte d’Ivoire : Senate Committee Approves Bill on the Implementation of the AfCFTA
The Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of Côte d’Ivoire’s Senate has approved a bill aimed at implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The legislation provides for the gradual elimination of customs duties on 90% of non-sensitive goods traded across Africa. According to projections presented to senators, the reform could boost Côte d’Ivoire’s exports, increase government revenues, and support the country’s economic growth.
