Nigeria : ISWAP attack repelled by security forces in the northeast

The Nigerian army announced that it repelled an attack carried out on the night of June 19, 2026 by ISWAP fighters in Borno State, in the framework of Operation Hadin Kai. The attackers, who targeted several military positions, were neutralized through a response combining ground forces and air support, according to the command, which reported heavy losses inflicted on the insurgents and no casualties on its side.
