Algeria : Mahamane Amadou Maiga reinstated as ambassador to Mali

Algeria has announced the immediate reinstatement of its ambassador to Mali, Mahamane Amadou Maïga, marking a step toward normalizing relations after more than a year of tensions. Algiers has also reopened its airspace to Malian flights, signaling a diplomatic thaw following the dispute over the destruction of a Malian military drone in 2025.
