South Africa: Illegal Immigration – More Than 53,000 Foreign Nationals Deported Since June 30

South Africa has deported or repatriated more than 53,000 foreign nationals since launching its crackdown on illegal immigration on June 30. Authorities said most of those affected are from Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, while the United Nations has called for migrants’ rights to be respected.
