Morocco: Portugal Power Interconnection Project Revived

Morocco and Portugal have revived their electricity interconnection project, suspended since 2022, to strengthen energy security between Europe and Africa. Rabat and Lisbon plan to seek European Union support, attract private investment, and secure the project’s designation as an EU Project of Common Interest (PCI) to facilitate its financing.
