Mali: Army announces release of 82 soldiers held by rebels

The Malian Armed Forces have announced the release of 82 soldiers who had been held by rebel armed groups since coordinated attacks on April 25, 2026. In a statement issued on August 13, the General Staff said the soldiers are now safe and receiving care from the relevant services.
