DR Congo : Equateur Provincial Assembly Invalidates Delssy Mata Bertrand’s Mandate

The Equateur Provincial Assembly has invalidated the mandate of its former president, Delssy Mata Bertrand, over a prolonged absence of more than one month. Meeting in plenary session in Mbandaka, 16 lawmakers voted in favor of the decision, while three opposed it. A forthcoming session will determine whether to validate the mandate of his replacement.
