Nigeria : Bola Tinubu announces the neutralization of more than 13,000 terrorists in 2025

On the occasion of Democracy Day, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu stated that more than 13,000 terrorists had been neutralized in 2025, while issuing an ultimatum to armed groups to surrender or face justice. He also announced an 81% decline in terrorist incidents since 2015, the recruitment of 50,000 police officers, and increased investment in security.
