South Africa : Activist Kemi Seba Remanded in Custody Until July 14
A South African court has denied bail to pan-African activist Kemi Seba, ordering that he remain in detention until July 14. Arrested in April while attempting to enter Zimbabwe with an expired visa, he faces immigration-related charges and is also the subject of an extradition request from Benin. The court cited a flight risk in justifying its decision. The next hearing is expected to examine, among other matters, the extradition request submitted by Beninese authorities.
