Africa – Violence against migrants: 746 Ugandans to leave South Africa

Uganda announced the repatriation of 746 of its nationals living in South Africa due to a rise in violence and xenophobic protests targeting migrants. The government has put in place an evacuation mechanism, including registration, administrative assistance, and the organization of special flights to facilitate their return home.
