Africa – UN Secretary-General : First Security Council vote on July 30

The UN Security Council will hold its first vote on July 30 to select the successor to António Guterres, whose term ends in late 2026. Six candidates, including former Senegalese President Macky Sall, are presenting their vision for the organization during interactive dialogues in New York ahead of the selection of the next Secretary-General.
