Africa: Japan backs Libya’s bid for a seat on the UN Security Council for 2028–2029

Japan has announced its support for Libya’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2028–2029. Tokyo and Tripoli also seek to strengthen cooperation in energy, infrastructure, reconstruction, education and digital transformation.
