Benin – Diplomacy: Canada opens its first embassy in Cotonou

Canada inaugurated its first embassy in Benin on August 5, marking a new milestone in diplomatic relations between the two countries. The opening, which coincided with the visit of Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand, aims to strengthen economic cooperation, investment, trade, and political dialogue between Ottawa and Cotonou.
