Uganda: Muhoozi Kainerugaba announces his candidacy for the 2031 presidential election

Ugandan military chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son of President Yoweri Museveni, has announced his candidacy for the 2031 presidential election. Aged 52, he is regularly presented as a possible successor to his father, who has been in power since 1986.
