Gabon: President Oligui Nguema calls for strengthening national sovereignty

In his address to the nation on August 16, 2026, on the eve of the 66th anniversary of independence, President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema called for strengthening Gabon’s sovereignty through infrastructure modernization, energy development and youth training. He also urged the diaspora to contribute more actively to the country’s development.
