Sudan: AU rejects foreign interference and the creation of parallel governments

The African Union Peace and Security Council has rejected any foreign interference and the creation of parallel governments in Sudan, warning that they threaten the country’s unity and sovereignty. During a meeting with Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in Khartoum, the Council called for dialogue, national reconciliation and an inclusive political settlement leading to free and fair elections.
