DR Congo : launch of a digital identifier, RDC-PASS, for access to public services

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has launched in Kinshasa a national digital identification system called “RDC-PASS”, presented as a unique, free, and secure identifier enabling simplified access to online public services. According to the Minister of Digital Economy, Augustin Kibasa, the system aims to modernize public administration, facilitate procedures, and strengthen cybersecurity, without replacing existing official documents.
