Madagascar – Refoundation Agenda: Election announced for July 2027
Madagascar’s President Michaël Randrianirina announced that the first vote will be held in July 2027, during a meeting with his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa in Durban. The timeline, outlined in the Refoundation roadmap submitted to SADC, could involve a referendum or a constitutional election, ahead of a presidential election expected by December 2027.
